You have the cost of materials like paper and pens, you ALREADY have a computer if you are reading this article, and a small book of 20 stamps should cover you and then some! I do of course recommend you LEARN what you are doing first, which means investing in a few books, or a credit repair home study course…but this won’t cost you more than a cheap dinner and movie for 4….and is NOT even necessary if you can’t afford it!
I’m Convinced! When Should My Results Be Back? A year? Six Months?No way! The FCRA requires the credit bureaus MUST investigate and report back to you on your dispute within a “reasonable” amount of time. Current accepted practice is 30 days! Remember, you are going to file MORE than one dispute (especially if your credit is really terrible) but that’s OK! You should start to see results in 45 days from sending in your first request for a investigation! If you LEARN the landscape properly…you should see a NICE bump in your fico one SHORT month after you drop your challenge in the mailbox. And for those of you who NEED to improve your score fast…these are exciting times indeed..:-)
