During my 2 years of having a checking account, I have occasionally overdrawn from it. As bad as this sounds, I’m somewhat glad to say that I have always been quick to restore my checking account to a positive balance as soon as I have realized that it was negative.

I know that if this becomes a habit, it will really hurt me in the long run. But will these few occasions of being overdrawn hurt my credit score? To my knowledge, I don’t think it would be a problem unless I return my checking account to a positive balance and pay the overdrawn fees right away. And also, wouldn’t have I do something stupid like not pay up debts for a long period of time for the bank to report me to collections?

Any info would be appreciated.

I am selling off my nintendo wii. I have a lot of games on there and some wii points still left. I dont want to delete them and let them go to waste so I am including them and just deleting the miis. However, I used my credit card to purchase the wii points. Is credit card information stored on a wii? Is it possible for them to use my credit card if i dont delete everything and restore to factory settings?

And that is, “Sir or Madam, how do you intend to restore confidence in the American dollar?” IMO, all our other blessings, and indulgences, and I’m not just talking material things here, stem from the triple A credit rating this country has had since 1917. Today, we are closer to losing that rating, than we have ever been before!
All the other questions depend on economic prosperity. You cant walk on picket lines if your kids are starving to death. You cant fight for equal rights if your country is being manipulated by foreign governments.

I’m trying to help my sister restore her credit. She has way too many unneccesary (LITTLE) bills that were reported and late payments. They have really hurt her. What is the best way to get back on track. Your credit is EVERYTHING… She figured that out too late. Thanks! Also, do those people who “wipe” your credit clean actually work?

Last year I co-signed for a car loan for my daughter. At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do for her (although I know I shouldn’t have) but she was working 2 part time jobs and going to college and my finances were okay.
Things have since made a complete reverse, I became sick and had to resign from my job, and making it even more of a soap opera rather than a question, my daughter became pregnant and the father of the baby left her , she is no longer working her jobs and can not finish her internship with school because of the
pregnancy. She is now at default with her car payments and I simply cannot afford to carry her loan anymore. I am going to have to let it get repossessed and although my credit was excellant at the time of co-signing, I know it will impact it negatively once her car is repossessed. Does anyone know how long it will effect my credit rating?? I’m curious how long it will take to restore my credit? Have I any options? Thank You!

I see where you can “purchase” programs in which you can gain 100 points on your credit score in 30 days. Is this just a scam, or are their programs that really help restore credit quicker than just building it in the normal fashion?

I have about $10000 in credit card debt. I recently began using care one credit counseling company in order to negotiate lower interest rates and fees on my behalf. I pay care one and they distribute the payments on my behalf. I recently recieved a phone call from Lone Star Debt Solutions. They claimed that they could lower my monthly payments by settling with my credit card companies. They also claimed that they do credit restoration so by the time I complete the program all of the bad stuff will be off of my credit report. How valid are these claims? Was it a good idea to even enroll in the care one program? I need my credit restored so that I can get loans for school. PLEASE HELP???!!!

When I was in high school my mom took out 3 or 4 credit cards in my name WITHOUT my knowledge. I started getting all these things from creditors in the mail so I finally asked her about it and she said she would take care of them. 5 years later my dad had to pay them off for her after he found out about it. Now that they are paid off I want them off my credit. If I report them as fraud will anything happen to my mom? I figured since they were paid off it wouldn’t be a big deal, I don’t want anything to happen to my mom but at the same time I need my credit restored. I just go married and when I went to get a new car no one would touch me…my dad had to get me a car in his name, how embarrassing. So any suggestions?
