At this time, I do not have credit cards and have not had a revolving account for more than two years. What I do have is a car payment that is never late, student loans that are in good standing (never late), BUT plenty in collections (medical mostly) and an old balance with Discover that is 5-6 years old. My credit score is near 600 yet still far away.
I want to pay off the very small balances. The larger ones I prefer to settle. If I settle, how would this reflect on my credit report and score? Also, would it be a smart move to open a secured credit card so that I have an active revolving account? How would a lender or a financing corporation view my credit if these payments have only been made recently or does that matter?
Any advice or suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Received a certified check for $1310.00 from customer Alice Cordero as payment in full on her account. Ms. Cordero’s account was written off as uncollectible on november 15 of this year (two entries required). The first step is to restore the customers account balance.
This is a fake transaction is for school. I need to know how to record, not what i do with the customer after transaction.

When those drop off, will my credit score improve or will it stay low? I know I could try for a secured credit card, but I’m currently laid off & would like to avoid that at all costs. Most of my debt is older & if I just let them all “drop off”, will my credit be restored?

Unfortunately, another site requiring my Login, is requesting info within an email they’re sending to my deleted User ID. They refuse to send this email to any other address I own. Thus, I tried to re-register my old Yahoo email, but when I reached step 2, and input my previously deleted user ID, I rec’d the error: “This ID is not available”.
I tried going to the Yahoo! ID/Password Recovery, input my old User ID, then selected: “I have never used a credit card with Yahoo!” and clicked Continue. I rec’d another error message: “Sorry, we do not have enough information to proceed with password recovery for this account.”
I’m in dire need of restoring my previous User ID, does anyone know how I can do this, or who I can contact to help me?
Any information is truly appreciated.
The general response to my problem seems to be “sorry, you’re out of luck.” However, is there anyway of contacting a Yahoo representative directly? Via email, phone, snail-mail? Money talks… maybe I can BUY my user ID back. I refuse to believe there’s not at least SOME SORT of escalation process or department I can plead my case to.

I would let people pay through paypal or credit cards.
Is there a way I could show people the picture before I sell it to them (to ensure they like it ) without letting them be able to save it on their computer?
Which program could I use to make the website?
What should I include in the website?
Who can host it?
Please feel free to answer any or all of this questions.
Thanks in advance!

She lives there and pay’s for everything. Once her credit is restored we are going to sell it to her or put her on the title and let her refiance it in her name. In the meantime how do we treat this for tax purposes? Do we treat it like a rental and take depreciation, expenses etc. Can we treat it as a second home (It is in the same town we live in) and deduct interest property tax etc. Thanks in advance for your help
